The Zodiac Collection: Gemini Nail Wraps

To wrap things up for Gemini Season (no pun intended I swear!), I did something simple with nails using the Nail Wraps from The Zodiac Collection by Goscratchit!

Author's Note: The views expressed are solely of my own personal opinions based on the nail wraps and I'm not even being paid to advertise this amazing brand! I just want to be able to tell others about Scratch and hopefully inspire others to check out the nail wraps that they have to offer!

Like I said before in the past, I’m obsessed with anything and everything astrology, especially when it comes to my all-time favourite sign in the zodiac (which is the sign that I am which is Gemini!!J). I like to collect things that have to do with the Gemini zodiac from t-shirts, to jewelry, and even furniture around the hoe whether it might be a simple poster or a pillow, or even just an iPhone case for the phone! I go crazy every time I see something that has to do with Geminis and these babies are no exception!

In case you haven’t heard of Goscratchit, they are this amazing nail wrap company which brings its inspirations for its nail art wraps from various bloggers, illustrators, and other outstanding creative people in the field. Each month, they feature a different artist on the site and create 3 different nail art wraps based on that artist.1 They even have a monthly mani box which they send to subscribers every month which not only includes the nail wraps from the featured artist but they also include some nail art tools and a special gift from the featured artist!3 Scratch’s nail wraps have gained notoriety amongst fashion bloggers, nail artists, and regular people alike for their one-of-a-kind designs and their premium quality that you won’t find anywhere else. The nails wraps themselves are designed in a way that you can wear them on you own or even layer them over a base colour or design to make them into a style that is truly your own. Because their nails wraps are all limited edition, if you spot something in the store that you absolutely love, be sure to grab it quick, because once that design sells out, it’s gone for good.1

Scratch’s newest collection, the Zodiac Collection, was designed with each of the different zodiac signs in mind, borrowing from each of individual traits and quirks that makes each sign unique all while being blended together in a perfect harmony with fashion and astrology/magic. The Zodiac Collection was created by Katie E. Lehman (@hotpeetz on Instagram) and I must say she is quite a genius when it comes to making these nail wraps for each and every zodiac sign and the work that she did on the Gemini Nail Wraps? Fan-tas-tic!!! I absolutely love the work and detail that she put in these Gemini Nail wraps and the butterfly themed idea? Simply perfection It’s like she knows exactly what Gemini’s are like in a nutshell and since the butterfly is our inner spirit animal (we are very social creatures after all!), it was a fitting choice! You can check out more of her amazing work here!

Each of the Nail Wraps in the Zodiac Collection comes with the nails wraps based on the associated zodiac sign as well as a personalized horoscope which talks about the inspirations behind the nails as well as the general personality of the zodiac sign.

And as a bonus gift, it even comes with a match Midi Ring!!! How cool is that!?

The nail wraps were pretty easy to put on. All you have to do was put on a base coat before applying the nail wraps and then you find the nail wrap that best fits that particular nail and then apply it to the nail. You would then file off (or in this case pinch off) the excess nail wrap and seal with a top coat.2

And because Gemini is represented by the Lovers in the Tarot Major Arcana, I’ve decided to model the nails with the card which happens to be from the Homestuck Tarot Card Deck!

According to the website the nail wraps should last around up to ten days with regular care and treatment but the sad reality for me was that these nails only lasted TWO days on my nails! I don’t know if it’s because I had used a base coat instead of just applying the nail wraps on the bare nails, but you would think that at $24 a pop for these nail wraps, that they would last a little bit longer no? As much as I love these nails and the Scratch brand, I just wished that they could of lasted a little bit longer on my nail bed.

Despite these downfalls, the pros still outweigh the cons of these nail wraps and I do recommend that you give these babies a try, I promise you, you will not regret them! You can also check out more of Scratch’s amazing nail wraps here!

And you can also view the entire Zodiac Collection Here (It;s not finished yet since they are still adding nail wraps as time goes by so if your sign isn't there yet please keep checking back!)

What do you guys think of the nail wraps that Scratch has created? Do you plan on try out their nail wraps for yourselves? Let me know in the comments below!
